Jump in – like there’s no tomorrow – to all that the Smoky Mountains has to offer. The natural scenery just doesn’t quit with a 500,000 acre national park taunting mountain vistas and rushing rivers. The mountains are our main attraction, but we have lots of other things to do as well.
There is so much to do in the Smoky Mountains you’ll need to visit often to take it all in. Outdoor activities, festivals, and special events top the list. Shopping in unique shops and outlet malls is also very popular. Choose from 100’s of great places to eat. Dinner theaters and shows will provide hours of entertainment.
The Smokies offers activities year ’round — summer, fall, winter, and spring!
The rich environment of the Smokies influences the majority of its attractions: whitewater rafting, river tubing, hiking, fishing, zip lining, and much more. Theme parks, family fun parks, attractions, and scenic drives through magnificent mountain terrains are some popular activities for the entire family.
Golfers will enjoy playing on any of our professional golf courses. For more adventurous visitors, you can go caving, skiing, ride a mountain on an ATV, or take a train ride through the mountains. If you are a boater, there is a beautiful lake with marinas. For artsy people, we have many art galleries and craft shops. Fishermen can enjoy a day of fishing in mountain streams. More than 200 hiking trails can be found throughout the national park.
